BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 12. Kyrgyzstan had the highest growth of industrial production among the EAEU countries from January through September 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
Kyrgyzstan's industrial production in the first 9 months of this year increased by 16.6 percent over the same period in 2021, which was the highest figure among the EAEU countries.
Notably, the industrial production in Kyrgyzstan from January through September 2022 amounted to 299.2 billion soms ($3.6 billion), with the share of 18.6 percent in Kyrgyzstan's GDP.
The significant growth of industrial manufacturing in Kyrgyzstan during this period was due to an increase in the output of basic metals (by 37.9 percent); wooden and paper products (28.2 percent); petroleum products (by 13.1 percent); food products - 12.1 percent.
