BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 12. The foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan considerably increased from January through October 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to statistics, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade in 10 months of this year amounted to $9.6 billion, which is an increase of 41.2 percent over the same period in 2021.

During the reporting period, Kyrgyz imports of goods increased by 1.7 times compared to the same period of last year - up to $7.7 billion.

However, the value of Kyrgyzstan's exports from January through October 2022 totaled $1.8 billion, which is a decrease of 23.1 percent over the same period in 2021.

The foreign trade turnover of Kyrgyzstan with the EAEU countries in 10 months amounted to $3.8 billion, which is an increase of 39.2 percent over the same period in 2021. Remarkably, the largest share of the country's trade with the EAEU member states in the reporting period fell on Russia (72.3 percent) and Kazakhstan (25.5 percent).
