BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 30. The German Investment Corporation (Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft (DEG) will develop cooperation with financial institutions of Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports National Investments Agency of Kyrgyzstan.

This issue was discussed by Agency Director Umbriel Temiraliev with CEO of the DEG Roland Siller at a meeting in Germany's Cologne.

Kyrgyz National Agency noted that the purpose of the meeting was to establish cooperation with a major European financial institution to ensure funding for long-term projects in Kyrgyzstan.

“It was proposed to consider the possibility of financing the green energy Amortization Fund, as well as the possibility of exchanging CO2 quotas through green generating capacities in Kyrgyzstan,” the National Agency underlined.

As a result of the meeting, a direct relationship was established with the leadership of the German Investment Corporation, and in the medium term, the parties expressed interest in forming the basis for sustainable economic growth in Kyrgyzstan.

DEG is a subsidiary of KfW Group, established in 1962, which specializes in international development issues. The purpose of the organization is to promote the growth of developing countries and countries with economies in transition through the support of the private sector.
