BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. Kyrgyzstan produced 607.8 million of eggs in 2022, which is an increase of 7.7 percent, compared to 2021, Trend reports via Kyrgyz media.
According to the Eurasian Economic Commission (EAEU), despite the fact that Kyrgyzstan’s growth rate in production of eggs is highest among the EAEU-members, the country still produces the least amount of eggs in the EAEU.
Russia produced more than 46 billion of eggs in 2022, or 82 percent of all eggs, produced in the EAEU. It is an increase of 2.7 percent over 2021.
Kazakhstan ranked second, and produced 5.4 billion of eggs in 2022, (9 percent of the EAEU eggs production.) Belarus produced 3.5 billion of eggs last year (6 percent of the EAEU eggs production.) And Armenia produced slightly more than Kyrgyzstan – 741.9 million of eggs.
According to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the country’s farms produced agricultural products worth 354.6 billion somoni ($4.1 billion) in 2022, which is an increase of 7.3 percent over 2021.
