BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Kyrgyz Stock Exchange registered 33 transactions for 11.6 million soms ($132,693) from February 13 through February 17, Trend reports with reference to the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange.

The trading volume on the stock exchange decreased by 43.4 percent in the reporting period over the preceding week. The trades were conducted with both corporate and government securities.

“The decrease in trading volume was due to the lack of transactions with shares and a decrease in sales of corporate bonds in the primary market, as well as the luck of transactions with bonds in the secondary market,” the stock exchange statement said.

One transaction with government treasury bonds with circulation period of 5 years was conducted in the primary market on February 17. The value of the transaction amounted to 310,000 soms ($3,546) with 66.45 soms ($0.7) for a bond.

The last time this type of transaction was registered on August 21, 2020. The transaction volume amounted to 3.99 million soms ($45,000), and the price of each share was 82.84 soms ($0.9).

According to the stock exchange, the total volume of trading in corporate bonds in the primary market last week amounted to 11.21 million soms ($128,232).

In the secondary market, only 5 transactions were made in the amount of 160,000 soms ($1,830) during the reporting period. Among them are 3 transactions with ordinary shares of Manas International Airport. Their trading volume amounted to 100,000 soms ($1,143) with a price of 944 - 916.5 soms ($10.7 – $10.4) per share.
