Kyrgyzstan sees increase in imports of azotic acid

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 28. Kyrgyzstan imported 2,314 tons of azotic acid in 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

In the reporting period, the value of imports amounted to $1.2 million, which is more than a twofold increase from $550,000 in 2021, when some 1,328 tons of azotic acid was imported to the country.

The main supplier of azotic acid to Kyrgyzstan last year was Russia. The country exported 2,304 tons of the acid for $1.2 million to Kyrgyzstan. While, in the same period of 2021, the export amounted to 1,163 tons worth $479,300.

At the same time, Kyrgyzstan imported some 36 tons of azotic acid for $20,800 from Kazakhstan in 2022. The volume decreased by 78 percent from 165 tons in 2021.

The value of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $11.8 in 2022, increasing by 41 percent from the same period of 2021 ($8.3 billion).

Kyrgyzstan's exports reached $2.1 billion in 2022, facing a decrease of 21 percent compared to 2021 ($2.7 billion). The value of imports to Kyrgyzstan in the reporting period amounted to $9 billion last year, which is an increase of 72 percent from 2021 ($5 billion).
