BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 26. Kyrgyzstan's cargo transportation by all means of transport amounted to 22.285 million tons from January through June 2023, which is 14.5 percent more than in the same period of 2022 (19.460 million tons), Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of the country, the majority of cargo was transported by road transport (17.761 million tons). The figure is 13.4 percent higher than in the first half of 2022 (15.658 million tons).
A total of 4.341 million tons of cargo were transported by the railways of the country, which is 19.3 percent more than in the corresponding months of 2022 (3.640 million tons).
Furthermore, 161,700 tons of cargo were transported via the country’s pipelines (an increase of 12.7 percent) and 200 kg by air transport (a twofold increase).
During the period under review, the volume of cargo transportation increased in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.

Meanwhile, cargo transportation by all modes of transport in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 44.2 million tons in 2022, which is an increase of 29.8 percent compared to 2021 (34.1 million tons).
