BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 14. China intends to boost the export of limes, lemons, and pears to Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports.
This announcement was made during a meeting between Samat Nasirdinov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, and representatives of a delegation of agricultural companies from the Chinese Guangdong Province.
During the talks, the sides also discussed the export of cherries from Kyrgyzstan and China. Additionally, the participants addressed matters of product quality and agreed upon the necessary standards to ensure the supply of fresh, safe, and high-quality fruits to consumers in both countries.
Possible prospects for optimizing the logistics and transportation of fruits were explored, aiming to ensure efficient delivery and minimize any potential time delays.
A significant part of the discussion revolved around strategies for promoting the products in the Kyrgyzstan market. The parties exchanged experiences and ideas regarding marketing campaigns and promotional methods.
The participants also underscored the importance of developing long-term and mutually beneficial partnership relations that contribute to the sustainable growth of trade between the two countries.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, China was the largest foreign trade partner of Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2023, with trade turnover between the countries amounting to $2.229 billion, or 33.3 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade.
