BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 14. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $1.995 billion from January through June 2023, accounting for 29.8 percent of Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover, Trend reports
According to the State Statistical Committee of the country, trade turnover declined by 6.6 percent year-on-year ($2.136 billion from January through June 2023).
The exports from Kyrgyzstan to the EAEU countries amounted to $639 million, accounting for 48.9 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total exports. The export figure remained almost unchanged compared to the same period in 2022 ($636.5 million).
The imports to Kyrgyzstan from the EAEU countries totaled $1.356 billion, making up 25.1 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total imports. The imports decreased by 9.5 percent year-on-year ($1.499 billion from January through June 2023).

Overall, Kyrgyzstan’s foreign trade turnover amounted to $6.7 billion from January through June 2023, representing a 31 percent increase compared to the first half of 2022 ($5.1 billion).
Kyrgyzstan's exports totaled $1.306 billion, a 34.6 percent increase over the $970.5 million recorded from January through June 2022.
The country's imports reached $5.398 billion, marking a 30.3 percent increase compared to the same months of the previous year ($4.142 billion).
