BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 27. The export of potatoes from Kyrgyzstan decreased during the period from January through October 2023,Trend reports.
According to data from Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee, a total of 24,602 tons of potatoes were exported from Kyrgyzstan during this timeframe, which is a 30-percent decrease compared to the corresponding period in 2022 (35,064 tons).
The total value of these exports amounted to $3.926 million, declining by 46 percent compared to the same ten-month period in 2022 ($7.184 million).

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover reached $12.297 billion from January through October 2023, which is a 24.9-percent increase compared to $9.845 billion in the same period of 2022.
Exports from Kyrgyzstan totaled $2.443 billion during the 10 months, marking a 29.6 percent increase compared to $1.885 billion recorded from January through October 2022. Imports into Kyrgyzstan amounted to $9.854 billion during this period, up by 23.8 percent compared to the same period in 2022 ($7.959 billion).
