BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 15. Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with Belarus totaled $6.324 million in January 2024, 14.9 percent less than in January 2023 ($7.433 million), Trend reports.
Kyrgyzstan's State Statistical Committee stated that the
country's exports to Belarus reached $1.749 million in January
2024, 21.1 percent less than the $2.217 million reported in January
2023.
Imports from Belarus totaled $4.574 million, a 12.3 percent fall
from the $5.215 million reported in January last year.
Belarus accounted for 0.5 percent of Kyrgyzstan's total trade and
contributed one percent of Kyrgyzstan's total exports and 0.5
percent of its imports.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $1.168 billion in
January 2024, a 36.8 percent hike over January 2023. Exports
totaled $181.3 mln., a 46.6 percent rise from January 2023. Imports
rose 35.1 percent from January 2023 to $987.5 million.
Furthermore, the trade gap widened to $806.2 million, reflecting rising demand for imported goods relative to exports.
