Kyrgyzstan propels imports of motor gasoline from Russia

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 19. Kyrgyzstan imported 55.482 million liters of motor gasoline from Russia in January 2024, which is 58.2 percent more than in the same month of 2023 (35.076 million liters), Trend reports.

According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the value of the imports totaled $21.856 million, increasing by 81.5 percent compared to January 2023’s figure of $12.039 million.

Kyrgyzstan received motor gasoline from only Russia during the reporting month.

Kyrgyzstan's trade with Russia reached $194.871 million in January 2024, representing an 8 percent increase compared to January 2023, when trade stood at $180.484 million.

Exports from Kyrgyzstan to Russia amounted to $30.679 million in January 2024, a 21.9 percent decrease from January 2023's figure of $39.263 million. Imports from Russia surged to $164.192 million in January 2024, which is a 16.3 percent increase from January 2023's $141.220 million.

Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $1.168 billion in January 2024, which is a 36.8 percent increase compared to January 2023. Exports amounted to $181.3 million, a 46.6 percent increase compared to January 2023. Imports increased by 35.1 percent compared to January 2023, reaching $987.5 million.
