BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 7. Kyrgyzstan's import of oil products has decreased over the past 5 years, Trend reports.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, if 700,545 tons were imported in 2019, then in 2023, the import decreased by 12 percent to 612,007 tons.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan imported 70,500 tons of oil products in January 2024, which is 3.9 times more than in January 2023 (17,883 tons). The value of imports totaled $52.748 million, up by 2.9 times compared to the same month in 2023 ($17.709 million).
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $1.168 billion in January 2024, a 36.8 percent increase compared to January 2023. Exports amounted to $181.3 million, which is a 46.6 percent increase year-on-year. Imports increased by 35.1 percent compared to January 2023, reaching $987.5 million.
