BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, August 6. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan plan to complete the process of delimiting and demarcating the state border between the two countries in the coming months, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev said at a press conference, Trend reports.

According to the minister, working groups meet every week, and the intergovernmental commission holds sessions alternately: one week in Kyrgyzstan and the next in Tajikistan.

"A number of issues remain that we are currently coordinating. There is an understanding from the heads of state, who have instructed us to complete the border issue in the near future. I anticipate that the issue will be resolved in the coming months," he said.

Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan share a 970-kilometer border; however, some regions still need to be defined and designated.
