BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 9. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has issued a decree prohibiting salary increases for government employees from 2024 to 2026, Trend reports.
The decree also bans the expansion of government agency staff during this period.
However, the president may grant exceptions to this rule, allowing salary increases and staff expansions for specific government agencies through special decisions.
The decree applies to ministries, committees, administrative agencies, structural organizations under the President's and the Cabinet's administration, regional presidential representatives, and local government bodies.
This measure is part of a broader strategy to economize government spending.
