Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon to visit Russia at a convenient time. The relevant agreement has been reflected in the joint statement of the presidents of the two countries, signed during the Russian President's visit to Dushanbe, RIA Novosti reported.
According to the document, the invitation was accepted with gratitude.
Putin paid an official visit to Dushanbe. He discussed cooperation in the military and energy sectors, the problems of migrants with the Tajik President. He congratulated Emomali Rahmon with the jubilee. Several important documents, including the military sphere are expected to be signed, the Russian president's assistant Yury Ushakov told media.
