BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. Tajikistan increased exports of agricultural products in the first half of 2022, said Director of the Export Development Agency under the Government of Tajikistan Shavkat Bobozoda, Trend reports via Tajik Media.
Bobozoda noted that Tajikistan's exports of agricultural products from January through June 2022 amounted to $27.7 million, which is an increase of 28.1 percent compared to the same period of 2021.
According to the statistical data, Tajikistan in the first half of 2022 exported more than 110,000 tons of agricultural products, including:
- 75,000 tons of vegetables;
- 15,000 tons of fruits;
- 19,000 tons of dried fruits.
"90 percent of Tajikistan's agricultural exports during the reporting year were made up of: onions, dried fruits, carrots, plums, grapes, apricots, cabbage, peanuts, eggs, and lemons," he noted.
Overall, according to the Customs Service, Tajikistan from January through June 2022 exported goods worth $1.3 billion.
