BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 9. Tajikistan's cotton exports to Iran have significantly increased from January through June 2022, Trend reports with reference to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
Reportedly, Tajikistan exported cotton worth $58.6 million to Iran in the first half of this year, which is 17.2 times higher than in the same period of 2021 ($3.4 million).
Overall, the total value of Tajikistan's cotton exports from January through June 2022 amounted to $159.9 million.
Meanwhile, the total trade turnover between Tajikistan and Iran in the reporting period increased by 3.7 times compared to the same period of last year ($31.4 million) - up to $116 million.
