BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 6. Prices for seasonal vegetables in Tajikistan decreased over the last week, Trend reports with reference to the World Food Programme's (WFP) report
According to the WFP, the average prices for potatoes, onions, carrots and cabbage from August 29 through September 4 decreased in the range of 2-6 percent compared to the preceding week due to the ongoing harvest.
During the reporting period, the average retail price for 1 kg of potatoes in Tajikistan amounted to 4.3 somoni ($0.42), for 1 kg of onions 4.5 somoni ($0.44).
Meanwhile, from August 29 through September 4 the average price for 1 kg carrots across the country reached 3.5 somoni ($0.34) and cabbage 4 somoni ($0.39) per 1 kg.
