BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 4. The World Food Programme (WFP) has published the Tajikistan market situation update for September 26 - October 2, 2022, Trend reports citing the WFP's report.
According to the WFP, the decrease in petrol prices compared to the previous week continued in 8 markets of Tajikistan by 1-3 percent and remained the same in 6 other markets.
An average petrol price per 1 liter in Tajikistan was 11 somoni ($1.07) from September 26 through October 2.
The lowest price was recorded in Tajikistan's Khujand - $0.97, Jayhun and Hisor - $1.
At the same time, diesel prices during the reporting period decreased in 8 markets by 1-3 percent and remained the same in 7 other markets (average price per 1 liter of diesel 13 somoni or $1.27).
Notably, as of October 4, 2022, the official exchange rate set by the National Bank of Tajikistan is 10.2 TJS/1 USD.
