BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 4. The World Bank (WB) has released an updated forecast for Tajikistan's GDP growth for 2022-2023, Trend reports with reference to the WB.
According to the WB's forecast, Tajikistan's GDP growth rate is expected to be 4.2 percent in 2022, strengthening to 4.8 percent in 2023.
Earlier, in June this year, the World Bank projected Tajikistan's GDP growth at -0.4 percent in 2022, accelerating to 3.3 percent in 2023.
Currently, the World Bank is financing 25 projects in Tajikistan, totaling $1.3 billion. Since 1996, the WB has provided over $2.4 billion in IDA grants, highly concessional credits, and trust funds for Tajikistan.
