BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 4. The World Food Programme (WFP) has published the Tajikistan market situation update for September 26 - October 2, 2022, Trend reports citing the WFP's report.
During this period, an average price for wheat flour in Tajikistan amounted to 6.7 somoni ($0.65).
Compared to last week and last month, price of wheat flour decreased by 2 percent and 5 percent due to import increases from foreign countries and the ongoing harvest of wheat.
As reported, the cheapest wheat flour prices from September 26 through October 2 were recorded in Tajikistan's Jayhun - 6 somoni ($0.58) and Khujand, Hisor, Istaravshan - 6.2 somoni ($0.60).
Meanwhile, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan, as of September 30, 2022, the volume of wheat harvested throughout the country amounted to 714,546 tons.
