BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and head of Elsewedy Electric company Ahmed Elsewedy discussed the construction of a new hydroelectric power station (HPP) in Tajikistan's Khatlon region, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Tajik president.
The sides from both countries have already reached preliminary agreements on the construction of a HPP and a new transformer plant in the city of Bokhtar.
In addition, the parties plan to build enterprises for the production of cables, equipment in the fields of electrical energy and communications in the Khatlon region.
Elsewedy Electric company, which was founded in 1938, has extensive experience in the implementation of infrastructure projects in various aspects, such as the construction of cities, hydroelectric power plants, thermal, cloud and wind power plants, etc.
