BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. Tajikistan's Ministry of Agriculture has published latest updates on its vegetable harvest, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan.
As of November 4, 2022, Tajik farmers have collected a total of 1.2 million tons of vegetables, including:
- 526,102 tons of onions;
- 247,187 tons of tomatoes;
- 119,961 tons of cucumbers;
- 124,651 tons of carrots;
- 46,188 tons of cabbage;
- 141,504 tons of other vegetables.
"The yield of vegetables in the Sughd region is 297 centners per hectare, in Khatlon region - 320 centners, in the districts under Central Government Jurisdiction - 324 centners per hectare," the ministry said.
Meanwhile, according to the Export Agency under the Government of Tajikistan, in the first 9 months of this year, Tajikistan exported agricultural products worth $40.1 million, which is almost a twofold increase over the same period in 2021 ($20.1 million).
