BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 22. Tajikistan's Sughd region has substantially increased exports of goods from January through November 2022, Trend reports citing sughd.tj.
According to statistics, the value of Sughd's exports reached $948 million in the first 11 months of this year, which is $408.9 million more compared to the same period of last year.
During the reporting period, Tajikistan's Sughd region exported 696,082 tons of cement worth $21.6 million, 359,758 tons of ore and concentrates for $624.2 million and 29,643 tons of cotton - $73.3 million.
Moreover, a total of 11.6 million eggs worth $1.14 million, clothes amounting to $20.5 million, and 536 tons of cotton yarn for $1.7 million were exported from the Sughd region.
Meanwhile, the value of goods imported into the Sughd region in the reporting period reached $1.8 billion, which is an increase of 27.6 percent over the same period in 2021.
