BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 14. The direct flights from Russian Omsk city to Tajikistan’s Dushanbe will be launched in spring 2023, Governor of Omsk Oblast Alexander Burkov said, Trend reports via Russian media.
The flights to Tajikistan will be carried out by Russian Nordwind Airlines on Tuesdays. The flights are planned to operate from the late March till the middle of October 2023.
At the same time the flights from Omsk will be launched to Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia, and currently there is a direct flight from Omsk to Kazakhstan’s capital - Astana.
The governor noted that Omsk Oblast has a great transit potential for the development of trade and economic cooperation.
Nordwind Airlines is one of the largest air companies in Russia founded in 2008, along with Pegas Fly is a subsidiary airline of Pegas Touristik. As of February 2022 the fleet of the air carrier amounted to 45 aircraft.
