BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 19. The Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China signed a Cooperation Plan in the field of agriculture for 2023-2025, Trend reports via press service of Tajik president.
The agreement, among other documents, was signed following high-level meetings and negotiations between Tajikistan and China, in the presence and with participation of the presidents.
At the meeting, the sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in agriculture and make joint efforts to study and develop this sector of Tajikistan.
President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon arrived in China on May 17 to attend the China - Central Asia summit on May 18-19. The summit hosts the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
During his visit, the Tajik president also met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on May 18. The presidents signed a Joint Statement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People's Republic of China.
Overall, 25 new documents on cooperation were signed within the framework of the state visit of the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, to China.
