BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 25. Tajikistan’s imports of machinery and transport equipment from Georgia in April 2023 have registered a significant growth year-on-year, Trend reports.
According to the statistical data from Georgia, Tajikistan registered a substantial increase in the import of machinery and transport equipment in April 2023. This import from Georgia amounted to $2.113 million, which is a five-fold rise compared to the $415,520 recorded in April 2022.
Back in January 2023, Tajikistan imported machinery and transport equipment from Georgia for $2.6 million. Followed by imports worth $3.1 million in February 2023 and $2.4 million in March 2023.
Overall, Tajikistan imported machinery and transport equipment for $10.331 million in the period from January through April 2023, which is 4.4 percent more than in the same timeframe of 2022 ($2.337 million).
Tajikistan’s imports from Georgia amounted to $12.691 million. The figure experienced year-on-year growth of 3.7 times compared to $3.374 million in the same period of 2022.
