DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, July 3. Tajikistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to implement additional measures for the execution of investment projects, Trend reports.
The issue was discussed at the meeting between the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, Zavki Zavkizoda, and the Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, Alibek Kuantyrov in Kazakhstan’s Astana on July 1, 2023.
Fruit and vegetable export boosting-subjected meeting between the parties has driven the consent on implementation of additional measures for the further execution of investment projects.
The meeting unveiled 22.3-percent increase in bilateral trade volume in 2022 between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, amounting $1.4 billion. As a result, Kazakhstan emerged as Tajikistan's second-largest trading partner.
During the meeting, the parties also reached an agreement to take further actions in line with the directives of their heads of state, the protocols of the Intergovernmental Commission meeting, and the Roadmap for enhancing trade between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan for the years 2023 and 2024.
Additionally, Kazakhstan received an invitation to participate in the Economic Forum of Central Asian Countries, scheduled to take place from September 14 through 15, 2023, in Dushanbe.
