DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 21. The average petrol price in Tajikistan stood at 10.9 somoni ($0.99) as of September 11, remaining unchanged compared to September 4, Trend reports.
Data from the WFP (World Food Programme) reveals that these prices have decreased by 3 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
In the capital city of Dushanbe, the price reached 10.5 somoni ($0.95), which is a 1-percent increase from the September 4 figures, but it remained unchanged compared to the same period in 2022.
The highest prices were observed in Murghob town at 12.9 somoni ($1.17), which remained consistent with the previous week but saw a 4 percent year-on-year decrease. Conversely, the prices for petrol in Istaravshan town and Kushoniyon district were the lowest, at 10.4 somoni ($0.94).
WFP Tajikistan, in partnership with the Neksigol Mushovir advisory organization, has been monitoring commodity prices in markets across the country. The price data is collected through the network of field enumerators. For each commodity, multiple traders are interviewed, and the average prices are recorded.
