DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 22. Average liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices at fuel stations in Tajikistan experienced a minimal decrease over the week from September 4 through September 11, Trend reports.
Data from the World Food Programme (WFP) shows that the average price for LPG in Tajikistan was 6.1 somoni ($0.56) on September 11, which is a 1 percent decrease compared to the prices on September 4. The year-on-year decrease was 9 percent.
In Dushanbe, the price stood at 6 somoni ($0.55), declining by 2 percent compared to the figures of September 4 and by 9 percent year-on-year.
Across regions, no significant fluctuations were observed, with the highest price of 6.4 somoni ($0.58) registered in the Rasht district, which is a 2 percent decrease from September 4 and an 11 percent decrease year-on-year.
WFP Tajikistan, in partnership with the Neksigol Mushovir advisory organization, has been monitoring commodity prices in markets across the country. Price data is collected through a network of field enumerators. For each commodity, multiple traders are interviewed, and average prices are recorded.
