*Data on Tajikistan’s GDP from January through June 2023 were calculated by the production method, according to the country's National Bank. The calculation of GDP by the production method includes the following stages:
At the first stage, the value of all final goods or services produced in the country for a certain period of time is determined. Next, for each stage of production, the cost of all goods and services used at this stage is deducted. This includes raw materials, components, energy, and other resources that are used to create the final product.
The difference between the value of the final product and the value of all goods and services used in its production is called added value. Then, the added values from all stages of production are summed up, and the result is GDP by the production method.
