DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 27. Spitamen Textiles Company, specializing in the production of cotton yarn and ready-made sewing products in Tajikistan's Sughd region, has announced plans to establish an additional spinning facility, Trend reports.
Currently, the company is in the process of installing and assembling equipment imported from China.
The new facility is designed to increase the capacity for cotton processing, expand the variety of products, and enhance the overall operations of Spitamen Textiles. At the moment, the company receives 60 tons of raw cotton daily for processing.
Additionally, in collaboration with the Russian BTK Group, the company has recently acquired 32 types of agricultural machinery to ensure timely fieldwork.
As of September 7, 2023, more than 200 new industrial enterprises and workshops have been put into operation in the Sughd region since the beginning of the year. Over a thousand industrial enterprises and factories are currently in operation in the region, producing a range of more than 248 different types of products.
The total volume of industrial output in the Sughd region reached 126.8 million somoni ($11 million) from January through June 2023, and agricultural production amounted to 506.1 million somoni ($45.9 million).
