DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, November 29. The assets of Tajikistan’s Orienbank totaled 5.423 billion somoni ($499 million) as of September 30, 2023, Trend reports.
Data provided by the National Bank of Tajikistan reveals a 20-percent increase in comparison to 4.483 billion somoni ($412 million) reported for the same date last year.
Regarding the bank's liabilities, they amounted to 3.973 billion somoni ($365 million), which is a 25-percent increase compared to 3.164 billion somoni ($291 million) for the same date in 2022.
Furthermore, the bank's capital reached 1.449 billion somoni ($133 million), indicating a 9.9-percent increase compared to 1.318 billion somoni ($121 million) recorded for the corresponding date in 2022.
Orienbank stands as one of the oldest banks in Tajikistan, with a count of over 260,000 client accounts, 32 branches, and connections to 26 correspondent banks.
Tajikistan had a total of 63 credit and financial institutions, comprising 14 conventional banks, 1 Islamic bank, 1 non-bank credit institution, 19 microcredit deposit organizations, 3 microcredit institutions, and 25 microcredit funds, as of September 30, 2023.
