DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, January 20. The average price for a liter of milk in Tajikistan was 6.8 somoni ($0.62), as of January 8, 2024, Trend reports.
According to the recent report from the World Food Programme (WFP), the price increased by 1 percent in a week compared to January 2, 2024, when it was 6.7 somoni ($0.61).
It was noted that in the capital city of Dushanbe, the price reached 7.6 somoni ($0.70), decreasing by 5 percent compared to January 2, 2024.
At the same time, the average price for 10 eggs in Tajikistan amounted to 13.3 somoni ($1.22) on the reported date, which is a decrease of 1 percent compared to 13.5 somoni ($1.24) on January 2, 2024.
In Dushanbe, the price for 10 eggs was 11.3 somoni ($1.04), decreasing by 13 percent compared to January 2, 2024.
WFP Tajikistan, in partnership with the Neksigol Mushovir advisory organization, has been monitoring commodity prices in markets across the country. Price data is collected through a network of field enumerators, with multiple traders interviewed for each commodity, and average prices recorded.
