BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, February 22. Trade turnover between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan amounted to $2.383 million in 2023, which is 52.5 percent less than in 2022 ($5.022 million), Trend reports
Data from Kyrgyzstan’s State Statistical Committee shows that exports to Tajikistan reached $1.202 million, declining by 63.7 percent from the 2022 figures ($3.314 million). Imports from Tajikistan amounted to $1.180 million, which is a 30.8 percent decrease year-on-year ($1.707 million in 2022).
Among the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with Tajikistan was the smallest after Moldova (trade worth $2.155 million).
Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover with CIS countries amounted to $5.175 billion in 2023, which is 6 percent less than in 2022. Kyrgyz exports to CIS countries amounted to $1.533 billion, declining by 13 percent compared to 2022. Kyrgyzstan’s imports from CIS totaled $3.641 billion, a 3 percent decrease compared to 2022.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover reached $15.660 billion in 2023, which is a 29.9 percent increase compared to 2022 ($12.057 billion). The country's exports totaled $3.308 billion, rising by 46.8 percent year-on-year ($2.254 billion in 2022). Imports to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $12.352 billion, which is 26 percent higher than $9.803 billion in 2022.
