Georgia's exports to Tajikistan via motor transport slightly down

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, March 6. Exports from Georgia to Tajikistan via motor transport amounted to $2.630 million in January 2024, which is 2 percent less than in the same month of 2023 ($2.688 million), Trend reports.

According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia, the country's exports to Tajikistan via air transport reached $121,400 in January 2024, which is 46 times higher than in January 2023 ($2,650). Additionally, exports via rail transport totaled $80,890 in January 2024, there were no exports via rail transport in January of the previous year.

The trade turnover between Tajikistan and Georgia totaled $2.942 million in January 2024, which is a 9.3 percent increase compared to January of the previous year ($2.691 million).

Exports from Georgia to Tajikistan amounted to $2.833 million in the first month of 2024, increasing by 8.9 percent compared to January 2023 ($2.691 million). Imports to Georgia from Tajikistan stood at $108,940 in January 2024. In the same month of the previous year, the trade between the two countries was solely comprised of Georgian exports.
