DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, March 5. Georgia exported 331.4 tons of bananas to Tajikistan in January 2024, generating a revenue of $291,200, Trend reports.
According to Georgia's National Statistics Office, the country
exported no bananas to Tajikistan in January 2023. Georgia shipped
105.87 tons of bananas to Tajikistan last December for a total of
$93,100.
Tajikistan and Georgia's trade turnover totaled $2.942 million in
January 2024, a 9.3 percent increase over the previous year's
figure ($2.691 million).
Exports from Georgia to Tajikistan totaled $2.833 million in the
first month of 2024, up 8.9 percent from January 2023 ($2.691
million). Imports from Tajikistan to Georgia totaled $108,940 in
January 2024. In the same month the previous year, trade between
the two nations consisted completely of Georgian exports.
