DUSHANBE, Tajikistan. April 9. The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon put into operation a new heating equipment manufacturing plant in the Sughd region of the country, Trend reports.
According to the presidential press-service, the facility, spanning 1.3 hectares, currently produces two types of heating equipment, three types of lighting fixtures, and over 20 models of household boilers ranging from 2 to 300 liters in capacity.
The plant utilizes modern technological lines acquired from Chinese, Turkish, and Russian companies. Additionally, it processes 500 tons of aluminum waste per month and 6,000 tons annually, transforming them into finished products.
With the opening of this plant, it is projected that over 50 percent of the domestic market demand for radiator heating equipment, household boilers of various sizes, and lighting fixtures can be met through locally manufactured products.
This initiative aligns with Tajikistan's ongoing industrialization strategy for 2022-2026, declared by President Rahmon as the "Years of Industrial Development". The strategy aims to boost industrial output by 2.5 times within five years, with a target of reaching 95 billion somoni ($9.3 billion) by 2026, compared to 39 billion somoni ($3.7 billion) in 2021, and create more than 870 industrial enterprises.
