Chinese-Tajik investment forum results in signing of multimillion-dollar agreements

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, June 24. Agreements worth over 6 billion somoni ($565.079 million) were signed during a Chinese-Tajik investment forum held in Dushanbe, Trend reports.

According to Tajikistan's State Committee on Investment and State Property Management, the agreements include plans for constructing an iron ore plant at the Shokhkadambulok mine and the supply and installation of international-standard structures for the construction of a 3,000-seat Dushanbe City Stadium.

Additionally, agreements were reached for providing electric vehicles for a taxi service in Dushanbe, establishing a credit line for purchasing special equipment and production machinery, processing decorative stone from Dushanbe's mines, constructing a logistics center, and building the Talco Gold metallurgical plant, among others.

To note, over 150 entrepreneurs and investors from Tajikistan and China participated in the forum.

China is recognized as one of Tajikistan's strategic partners, contributing significantly to its socio-economic development, rapid industrialization, creation of new jobs, and enhancement of state budget revenues. Currently, over 500 companies with Chinese capital operate in Tajikistan. Over the past decade, Chinese investment in the national economy of Tajikistan has exceeded $3.8 billion.
