DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, November 4. It is considered beneficial to attract Kuwaiti investments to Tajikistan to establish the export of agricultural products and drinking water to Kuwait, Trend reports.
This was discussed during a meeting between Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sabah Al Khalid Al Sabah.
"We are continuously focused on developing stronger ties with our friendly and brotherly nation of Kuwait," Rahmon added.
During the meeting, the sides highlighted the significant potential for mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Kuwait in implementing joint investment projects across various sectors.
The sides expressed interest in organizing cultural events, scientific conferences, student and faculty exchanges, and establishing connections between academic institutions in the two countries.
Furthermore, Rahmon welcomed the Kuwaiti government's decision to open an embassy in Tajikistan, as announced by the Crown Prince.
Rahmon is currently in Kuwait for an official visit and to participate in the High-Level Conference on “Strengthening International Counter-Terrorism Cooperation and Building Agile Border Security Mechanisms – The Kuwait Phase of the Dushanbe Process," which is being held in Kuwait city from November 4 through November 5, 2024.
