President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on pardon on the occasion of the December 12 national holiday - Neutrality Day - 754 people sentenced to prison, said on Saturday the Turkmen government.
The document says that the action taken in accordance with "the principles of charity, philanthropy, justice and humanism, bequeathed great ancestors, in order to further strengthen unity and solidarity of the Turkmen society and every family."
At the last meeting of the government, Berdimuhamedov instructed the relevant authorities before the holiday release from prison and pardoned all take the necessary measures for their return home to their families.
Local authorities were given instructions regarding the employment of persons pardoned.
Turkmenistan shares the pardon of citizens sentenced to prison for committing crimes, and sincerely repented of his deed, usually held on the eve of holidays and commemorative days.
Previous amnesty was timed to the October 27, 2011, the 20th anniversary of independence. Then, according to presidential decree about 1,700 prisoners released.
