The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has received the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkmenistan Bazarbai Mambetov, who is completing his mission, according to the Turkmen government.
According to the report, the Turkmen leader reaffirmed the country's commitment to traditionally constructive cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic, built on the principles of mutual respect, equality and joint benefit.
'Praising the activities of the authorised representative of a friendly country who has contributed greatly to the strengthening of bilateral ties, relations of good-neighbourliness and trust between the two countries, the Turkmen leader said the Turkmen-Kyrgyz partnership has broad prospects for further intensification', the statement said.
The Ambassador said the Kyrgyz Republic is interested in further full-scale cooperation with Turkmenistan.
During the meeting the sides exchanged views on the prospects of bilateral cooperation, noting that the full implementation of the existing potential of cooperation is in the national interests of each of the parties and serves as an important factor for the well-being and prosperity not only of the two brotherly peoples, but also the peoples of the region.
In this context, the sides confirmed the possibilities for effective interaction both in the field of economics and the humanitarian sphere.
