Almost 450,000 tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) will be produced in Turkmenistan in 2016, the country's oil and gas ministry said in a message Apr. 20.
Major part of this volume, 340,000 tons, is to be produced at the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries.
Each year, countries as Afghanistan, Georgia, Iran, Tajikistan, and Pakistan purchase 230,000-260,000 tons of LNG.
The message also said that a part of marketable gas is supplied to domestic market of Turkmenistan.
