The volume of mineral fertilizers produced in Turkmenistan is expected to increase by 1.6 times in 2024, as compared to 2018, and amount to 3,825,000 tons.

Turkmenistan’s state chemical concern Turkmenhimiya says 74.5 percent of this output will be supplied to foreign markets.

In particular, construction of a complex to annually produce 300,000 tons of ammonium nitrate and 450,000 tons of urea will start in Mary city in 2022.

In addition, it is planned to use capital investments for commissioning a plant for production of 300,000 tons of concentrated phosphate fertilizers per year at the industrial site of Turkmenabat chemical plant in 2021.
