Turkmenistan, Austria hold political consultations

Political consultations were held in Ashgabat between representatives of foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Austria, the Turkmen foreign ministry said in a message Dec. 4.
According to the message, Vienna’s delegation was headed by Katharina Wieser, head of the Department of Eastern and Southern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia of the Ministry for European Affairs, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria.
Mutual relations in politics, economy, energy, transportation, cooperation within international organizations, in particular the UN and the EU, were discussed during the meeting.
The sides exchanged views on a number of regional issues and aspects of international security. They also touched upon cooperation in culture, art, education and healthcare.
Stressing the importance of continuing the established dialogue that meets mutual interests, the sides agreed to hold another round of political consultations in Vienna in 2018 to further diversify fruitful cooperation.
