Turkmenistan, Romania hold political consultations

Political consultations were held in Ashgabat between the representatives of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and Romania, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a message Dec. 11.
According to the message, Bucharest’s delegation was led by Secretary of State for Eastern Neighborhood Relations and Multilateral Relations at the Global Level Danuţ Sebastian Neculaescu.
Views on topical issues of international agenda, regional security and cooperation were exchanged during the meeting.
The interest in development of trade and economic cooperation, transport cooperation and expansion of contacts between business circles of the two countries was expressed during the meeting.
During the meeting, the delegation of Romania was updated on the activity within Turkmenistan's chairmanship of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS).
