The 13th plenary session of the Senate of Uzbekistan’s parliament will be held in Tashkent on December 20.
The parliament’s press service said in a message that the issue of the country’s state budget, the budgets of state trust funds and the main directions of the tax and budget policy for 2018 are brought up for discussion.
The agenda includes a number of laws and issues, including laws on administrative procedures, the approval of the new version of Uzbekistan’s military doctrine, the new version of the Civil Procedure Code, Economic Procedure Code, Administrative Responsibility Code, changes and additions to some legislative acts of the country in connection with the improvement of the activities of certain state bodies, as well as the adoption of additional measures on guaranteeing the protection of citizens’ rights and freedoms.
During the plenary session, Uzbek senators will consider the issue of the program for the gradual transformation of farms into multi-sector farms for 2018, listen to a report presented by the Uzbek minister of internal affairs on the activities of law enforcement agencies in the field of combating crime and preventing offenses, as well as a report by the Uzbek foreign minister about the ministry’s activities in 2017.
Moreover, other issues related to the competence of the Senate of Uzbekistan’s parliament will be discussed at the session.
