Turkmenistan names new Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman

Dowletgeldi Rejepow has been elected Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCIT), Trend reports referring to the Turkmen government.
According to the information, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree approving this decision.
The CCIT is a socio-economic organization uniting enterprises, organizations, entrepreneurs and their associations, regardless of ownership. It is designed to express and protect their interests, to promote the development of the national economy, trade, economic, scientific and technical relations with other states.
The chamber was established in 1994 in order to promote the development of the Turkmen economy, its integration into the global economic system, the formation of a modern industrial, financial and trade infrastructure, and the creation of favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity.
