It is planned to receive from 40 to 45 quintals of wheat from each hectare from a 17-hectare area in one of the farms in Turkmenistan's Balkan region, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan Today State News Agency.
The plan was revealed during Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's visit to the region, which aimed at familiarizing with the progress of work carried out in the agro-sphere of the region.
During the visit, Berdimuhamedov noted that the state will continue creating all the necessary conditions for farmers.
The president also checked the operation of machinery, including CLAAS and John Deere combines, as well as trailers, seeders and other necessary equipment.
Aside from the mentioned farm, during his visit, the president also visited several other farms.
One of such farms was created in 2013 and was allocated with 393 hectares of land, from which 343,7 hectares are used for growing forage crops, and 50 hectares are occupied by various production facilities.
